What Is The Overall Affect That The Boston Tea Party Has In Todays Society

I think to an extent many people have forgotten the lessons we learned from the Boston Tea Party and have allowed oppresive taxes to take hold once again. Even still, the fire of the tax revolt has not died. In 1978, California passed Prop. 13, drastically reducing property taxes. Many voters continue to elect politicians that promise to reduce taxes, and organizations exist to fight for tax reform.
